About Dima

Born February 28, 2003, he was later named Ego by Kate Slagoski, the sister of his current translator. Ego wasn't without Id, his brother, until Id demonstrated that he could not be controlled. They spent the early part of their years in Chicago with Kate and her friends.

Then in the second half of 2005, Kate left Ego with her mother while she went off to Korea. That's where he met his tiny aunt Mia. Weary and worn, she could not tolerate his level of energy. Luckily for her, Kate returned the next year to take Ego back to Chicago.

Kate's lifestyle and new apartment could not accommodate Ego. Luckily for her, Jeremy and his wife were moving to La Crosse and were eager for a new cat. They had to leave their cat Tampopo in Korea. In August 2007, Ego was adopted by Jeremy and Jenevieve and was renamed Dima.

Soon Dima realized that Jeremy could translate the complex language of cats. He took this to his advantage and has labored Jeremy with arduous hours of tedious dictation and translation. Dima pays Jeremy with his presence and high regards. Dima thanks all those online who appreciate his poetry.
